Cell Culture

Muscle ECM cell culture substrates

Extracellular matrix (ECM) is a major component of the cell microenvironment with important signaling and regulatory functions. Derived from healthy acellular porcine skeletal muscle, NativeCoat™ and TissueSpec® skeletal muscle matrix is rich in fibrillar collagen types I and III but also includes collagen type V and fibril-associated types XII and XIV. Abundant proteoglycans include chondroitin sulfate and dermatan sulfate as well as small leucine-rich proteoglycans (SLRPs) including decorin, biglycan, fibromodulin, and lumican.
