TissueSpec® Multi-Organ Metastasis dECM Hydrogel Kit: Migration (Boyden chamber) assay of BT-549 breast cancer cells.
Migration activity of BT-549 breast cancer cells to TissueSpec® Bone, Liver and Lung dECM Hydrogels, Matrigel, and no ECM (plastic). BT-549 cells were seeded on inserts (8.0 µm pore size) placed on top of 24-well plates and previously prepared with 100 µL of thin gels of TissueSpec® Bone, Liver, Lung dECMs or Matrigel (6 mg/mL each) and no ECM. After 24 hours, lower chambers were imaged to evaluate migrated cells.

BT-549 cells (5x103) cultured in 96-well plates prepared with thin gels of TissueSpec® Bone, Liver, Lung dECMs (6 mg/mL each) and no ECM. After 48 hours, cells were treated with Paclitaxel, a chemotherapy medication used to treat breast cancer.

TissueSpec® Multi-Organ Metastasis dECM Coating Kit: Gene expression in BT-549 breast cancer cells.
BT-549 breast cancer cells (5x104) were seeded on bone, liver, lung dECM coatings prepared at 0.2 mg/mL for 48 hours. Collagen I was used as control. Purification of total RNA was carried out using Qiagen RNeasy Mini kit. PCRs were run to identify the expression of cancer-related genes.
