TissueSpec® Heart dECM Hydrogel Kit: Cardiomyocytes function.
Embryoid bodies were encapsulated in TissueSpec® Heart dECM Hydrogel prepared at 4 mg/mL in a ratio of 75% TissueSpec® Heart dECM Hydrogel in collagen and maintained for 12 days. Embryoid bodies encapsulated in 75% dECM hydrogel, provided the best contractility in terms of percentage of contraction amplitude among experimental groups.

Embryoid bodies were encapsulated in TissueSpec® Heart dECM Hydrogel prepared at 4mg/mL in a ratio of 75% TissueSpec® Heart dECM Hydrogel in collagen and maintained for 12 days. Morphology of embryoid bodies in heart hydrogels appeared heterogenous in size.

Human embryonic stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes were seeded in TissueSpec® Heart dECM Hydrogel prepared at 6mg/mL. Differentiation was studied using troponin I (green) and connexin 43 (red).
